Organisation of at least 2 technical days per year on specific topics, to allow exchanges between experts and members
International Symposium ESOPE Starting in 1977, AFIAP has organised every three years a 3 day symposium on technology, codes and standards based on industrial experience about Pressure Equipment. In 2001, this symposium has been extended to include the rest of Europe under the name ESOPE, European Symposium On Pressure Equipment ESOPE. This Symposium includes plenary sessions on particular themes with a panel discussion on the principal subject of the Symposium, and three parallel technical sessions on Design, Materials, Fabrication, Welding, Inspection and Fitness for Service. Representatives from Industries of Mechanical engineering, Energy ( Oil and Gas, Electricity ), Chemical, Steel suppliers, Transportation and Storage,etc. can exchange together during these 3 days. An exhibition is organised around the Symposium.
