Initiatives were taken at the beginning of 2008 to create a non-profit international association under Belgian Law.
A first meeting, lead by the Italian Federation of Mechanical Industries, ANIMA, and the Italian Association of Boiler Manufacturers, was held on February 24th 2009 in Milan and a second meeting, on April 6th 2009 in Budapest.
On June 5th, 2009, a meeting assessed what was already made and agree of consequences to give.
EPERC activity should develop in the following domains:
• Pre- and Co-normative research in support of European standards;
• Research in view of optimisation of in-service inspection;
• Education and dissemination of the knowledge;
• Exchanges with international organizations having similar goals such as PVRC and Japan PVRC.
