This association was created in 1976 by the CETIM, the IS and the SNCT.
The particular interest of AFIAP is to be organised to be a meeting point and to take into account the opinion of all European people involved by Pressure Equipment, such as : Users, Designers, Manufacturers, Notified Bodies, Inspection and Certification Organisations...

Goals

The AFIAP has the following goals : to contribute to the development of research and study in all areas concerning Pressure equipment,

• to publish the results and promote their use in all economical and industrial Organisations involved (Oil and Gas,Energy, Pulp and paper, Medical...),
• to actively participate at the European level, in the process of standardisation and codes
